It’s been settled

Rod-in-3D messaged me and we talked about the “art theft”. Yes, there were lots of similarities between our drawings. He claimed to have been unaware of my drawing at the time he made his, and I believe him.

Just this month I had an idea to redesign the parking signs in LA using timelines. Thankfully I’m so slow to start a piece that someone beat me to it. In fact, maybe someone already redesigned it and I had just seen it somewhere once, and that’s why I had my idea. I think that’s what happened with Rod. He must have seen my drawing in passing, it made an impact in the back of his mind, then months later it resurfaced as an idea. I don’t see why he would waste his time by intentionally re-drawing my comic. He drew it because the idea of “female fantasy armor vs. male” is something we have all thought about and he wanted to draw it. No malice behind it.

He didn’t try to make any money off of it. He didn’t try to erase my name. Sending him hate mail is completely unnecessary.

Found some old character design pitches from back in the day. I like the designs but was happy the show was never picked up.

Somehow I feel like this is how the story of Hyrule Warriors is gonna start.

Testing out some of Kyle’s brushes that I bought and took the liberty to draw a sight I saw today. A girl was eating spaghetti with on the sidewalk and at the very moment I passed, she suddenly turned her head and smiled. It would have scared me if she didn’t have spaghetti all over her face.

This is a drawing. Whatever. Fuck it.

About

Here's my inspiration tumblr: http://henrique-inspiration.tumblr.com/

My name is Henrique Jardim and this blog contains the artwork of Henrique Jardim and probably other things too. I have done storyboards and animation for Archer and Unsupervised on FX, directed a short with Nickelodeon, and was an intern on China, IL and Black Dynamite over at Titmouse. But you are probably most familiar with that one animated banner ad I did for PornHub that one time.
